When I first stumbled upon this concept art, I immediately fell in love with the mood and the ambiance of it! The colors and vintage look work so well together and I wanted to emulate that kind of feeling in this project. I referenced a lot on how Clara Tan did her abandoned bar environment, she even wrote a breakdown article on 80 level so go check it out :) The hardest part was definitely the lighting and how to play with contrast so it would not look too dark and some areas. For the key props like the gramophone, coffee machine, and cash register, I broke all of them into separate meshes and maps so no detail would be too pixelated. With this, I am glad to call this project complete and looking forward to the next one! Hope you guys like and enjoy the flythrough! :)
