It's been a long time since I did a prop design, so this time I wanted to do a ritual knife that is meant for voodoo or dark rituals. Being inspired by Korean and Thai horror films, I wanted to replicate a similar feel and language. This is also a controversial method that I am trying out, and that is implementing AI into the creative process. For the past year, I was asked to learn and implement AI into my workflow at work, and as a concept artist, I found it quite boring to just use prompts and paint over maybe 10 - 20% of the results. But In the end, I came to accept that it is just a tool because there are some pros and cons to it.

Pros
- Speed up silhouette / Ideation exploration.
- Base Lighting and Material Renders are provided so you can focus on designs.
- Using real-life images and tweaking the image weights to make the designs look more experimental or realistic.

Cons
- Visually cool, but have no substance or usability for production underneath.
- Repetitive designs and the prompts might need to change a lot for a clearer difference.
- Mix and mash of details make it look unreadable and noisy.

Honestly, I would say I do not have the answer if this is an ethical method at the end of the day, but as long as your design fundamentals are strong, tools are just tools in the end.
